Let’s Reuse, Whistler!

Supporting business sustainability, waste reduction and circular climate action…

…one cup at a time.

What is
Reuse Whistler?

A convenient, community-powered program that lets you grab your drink in a returnable, reusable cup — no washing, no waste.

Why
Reusable cups?

Every single day, thousands of single-use coffee cups are thrown away in Whistler.

Whistler’s new reusable cup program helps reduce waste, protect the environment, and make low-impact living a part of everyday life or your Whistler vacation.

Join the
Reuse revolution!

FAQ’s

  • Nope! This program is designed to be friction-free — you can grab and go simply by entering a credit card (in case you don’t return your mug) and if you will be a repeat user you can use the app or a browser account for quick check out.

  • Absolutely. Cups are sanitized through commercial washers between each use to meet health standards. We think they are a better alternative to the micro-plastic leaching single-use cups which are filled with your drink straight from the factory!

  • Yes! Whether you're here for a lifetime or just visiting, all are welcome to participate. Simply return your cup within 5 days to prevent being charged.

  • We’re tackling single-use packaging, starting with coffee cups and building momentum for broader change. This is just the beginning. Real change takes time, but we’re in it for the long haul.

  • The best way to embrace reuse is through your daily choices. Bringing your own mug, food containers and bags will always be the most sustainable option.

In Whistler you can also check out the Re-Use-It and Re-Build-It Centres for opportunities to donate items no longer needed and buy items ready for new homes - all while benefiting Whistler’s Community Services Society.
